My practice spans oil painting, pencil +pen sketches, and graphic design—each medium serving as a tool for exploring the subtle landscapes of everyday life. My work is deeply tied to place, shaped by a lifetime spent moving across America. From the Midwestern plains to the humid Florida-Georgia line, from the busy streets of Queens to the meandering Mississippi in Missouri, from Virginia's salty wetlands to the Long Island Sound’s quiet rocky beaches, each of the eleven places I have called home has left its imprint on my creative narrative.
Through my work, I map the intricate connections between place, memory, and emotion, creating a cartography of feelings. I invite viewers to reflect on their own experiences, finding beauty in the everyday and celebrating the feelings that tie us to the world around us.
From my earliest memories, creativity has always been the driving force in my life. What began as a childhood filled with change progressed into a deep interest in evolution, form, and design. Studying architecture at university provided me with a foundation in structure, shaping my understanding of how design captures human experience. Yet, beyond the built environment, I have always been drawn to the intangible—the fleeting emotions, quiet moments, and all of the little good feelings that give life its richness.
